Drug Interactions With Zenatane

Combining certain medications with Zenatane could result in dangerous drug interactions. Among the medications that may cause adverse effects are corticosteroids, certain antibiotics, and St. John's wort. Some of these reactions could increase your risk for osteoporosis, high blood pressure in the head, or other serious complications. Let your healthcare provider know about all other medications and supplements you are taking before starting Zenatane.

An Overview of Zenatane Interactions

Zenatane™ (isotretinoin) may react with a number of other products. Some of the drugs that can interact with Zenatane include but are not limited to:
 
  • Corticosteroids, such as:
    • Betamethasone (Celestone®)
    • Cortisone
    • Dexamethasone (Decadron®)
    • Fludrocortisone (Florinef®)
    • Hydrocortisone (Cortef®)
    • Methylprednisolone (Depo-Medrol®, Medrol®)
    • Prednisolone (Orapred®, Pediapred®)
    • Prednisone
    • Triamcinolone (Kenalog®, Aristospan®)
