What Is Solodyn?

The prescription drug Solodyn® (minocycline hydrochloride) is approved for the treatment of acne that causes red, inflamed, pus-filled bumps. It is not used to treat milder cases that only cause whiteheads or blackheads. The medication comes in the form of an extended-release tablet and is taken just once a day.

Prior to taking Solodyn, tell your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have, especially kidney or liver problems. He or she will also need a complete list of all other drugs you are taking, including supplements.

(Click Solodyn for more information on what this drug is used for, as well as how this medicine works, other important information for your healthcare provider, and possible side effects.)
