Solodyn® (
minocycline hydrochloride) is a drug commonly used in the treatment of acne. Like most medications, side effects are possible with Solodyn.
Headache was the most commonly reported side effect, occurring in up to 27 percent of people in clinical trials. Other reported reactions included:
- Dizziness
- Joint pain
- Itching
- Drowsiness.
Fortunately, most people don't have any problems with this medicine and if side effects do occur, they are easily treated. However, potentially serious side effects are possible and often require prompt medical care. For example, if you experience severe or unusual
headaches with Solodyn, tell your healthcare provider right away. It could be a sign of a more serious condition.
