Minocin 50 mg Capsules

Minocin® (minocycline hydrochloride) is a prescription antibiotic used to treat several conditions, such as acne and various bacterial infections. Your Minocin dosage will be based on several factors, such as your weight, the condition being treated, other medications you are taking, and other medical conditions you may have.

50 mg Minocin capsules are usually taken two to four times a day, depending on your healthcare provider's instructions. It is important to take the capsules with plenty of water (or other fluids) while in an upright position, in order to prevent the medication from irritating the throat. Do not lie down immediately after taking this medication.

It does not matter what time of day you take Minocin capsules (50 mg or 100 mg). However, the medication should be taken at the same times each day to maintain an even level of Minocin in your system. For the drug to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. It will not work adequately if you stop taking it too soon.
