What If I Overdose on Duac?

Using too much of this medication may cause extreme skin irritation, but is unlikely to be particularly dangerous. However, this medicine could be dangerous if taken by mouth in large amounts. It is important to seek medical attention if you believe you have overdosed on Duac, or have taken it by mouth.

How Should This Medicine Be Stored?

Your pharmacist must keep this medication in the pharmacy refrigerator. However, you should store it at room temperature, away from heat. Do not allow it to freeze. Throw out any unused medicine 60 days after filling your prescription. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Duac?

If you forget a dose of Duac, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply extra medication to make up for a missed dose.

Available Strengths

Duac comes in one strength and form: Duac 1.2%/5% Topical Gel, which contains 1.2% clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide. It comes in a 45-gram tube.
