More Medicines That Interfere With Doryx
Carbamazepine
Carbamazepine may decrease the level of Doryx in the blood, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking Doryx with carbamazepine.
Eplerenone
Doryx may increase the level of eplerenone in the blood, perhaps increasing the risk of side effects of eplerenone. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Fentanyl
Doryx may increase the level of fentanyl in the blood, perhaps increasing the risk of fentanyl side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Maraviroc
Doryx may increase the level of maraviroc in the blood, perhaps increasing the risk of side effects of maraviroc. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Oral Typhoid Vaccine
Doryx may decrease the effectiveness of the oral typhoid vaccine. If you have taken Doryx recently or are currently taking Doryx, your oral typhoid vaccine may need to be postponed for at least a day after finishing the antibiotic.
Penicillins
Doryx may make penicillin antibiotics less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before combining Doryx with a penicillin medication.
Phenytoin
Phenytoin may decrease the level of Doryx in the blood, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking Doryx with phenytoin.
Quinapril
Quinapril may decrease the absorption of Doryx, perhaps making it less effective. Separate your doses of Doryx and quinapril by as much time as possible (at least two hours).
