Azalex

Azelex® (azelaic acid cream) is approved for the treatment of mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne in adults and children as young as 12 years old. This prescription medication comes in the form of a skin cream that is applied to the affected area twice daily. This medicine is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and may also help control the growth of skin cells. Possible side effects include itching, burning, and stinging.
