Drug Interactions With Amnesteem

You should talk to your healthcare provider before taking certain antibiotics, corticosteroids, or progestin-only birth control pills in combination with Amnesteem, as drug interactions may occur. Some of these reactions may decrease the effectiveness of the medications or increase your risk for complications, such as high blood pressure in the head or osteoporosis.

An Overview of Amnesteem Interactions

Amnesteem® (isotretinoin) can potentially react with a number of other medications. Some of the products that may lead to drug interactions with Amnesteem include:
 
  • Corticosteroids, such as:
 
    • Betamethasone (Celestone®)
    • Cortisone
    • Dexamethasone (Decadron®)
    • Fludrocortisone (Florinef®)
    • Hydrocortisone (Cortef®)
    • Methylprednisolone (Depo-Medrol®, Medrol®)
    • Prednisolone (Orapred®, Pediapred®)
    • Prednisone
