Doryx Medication Information

Doryx® (doxycycline hyclate delayed release) is approved to treat and prevent a number of different conditions. Notably, some of the approved uses of Doryx include treating and preventing anthrax, preventing malaria, and treating acne. The medicine is not approved for use in children and definitely should not be used in children under the age of 8, as tooth problems may occur.

Doryx comes as a tablet that is typically taken once a day. Take them with plenty of water (or other fluids) while in an upright position, in order to prevent the medication from irritating the throat. You can take Doryx at any time of the day; however, it should be taken at the same time each day to maintain an even level of medicine in your system.

Before you start taking the prescription medication Doryx, be aware of the drug's specific uses, effects, dosing guidelines, and warnings, and those that apply to your situation.
