BenzaClin Gel Information

BenzaClin® (clindamycin/benzoyl peroxide) is available only by prescription and is approved for treating acne. This medicated skin gel is not appropriate for everyone; your healthcare provider needs complete information on your medical history and any other drugs you are taking before prescribing BenzaClin.

Although many people do not have any problems while using this medication, BenzaClin can cause side effects, such as dry skin, redness, and itching. If negative reactions do occur, however, they tend to be mild and easily treated.

This gel is applied to the affected area of the skin twice daily, in the morning and evening. BenzaClin contains two antibiotic medications and works by killing acne-causing bacteria.
