Acanya Gel Reaction

While most people do not experience any problems while using Acanya® (clindamycin/benzoyl peroxide) gel, certain adverse reactions can occur. Side effects, for example, are possible and include:

  • Burning
  • Stinging
  • Redness.

In most cases, reactions to this medication tend to be mild and easy to treat. However, contact your healthcare provider right away if you experience more serious problems, such as swelling of the face, watery diarrhea, or difficulty breathing.

To help minimize your risk of these and other adverse reactions with Acanya, make sure your healthcare provider has a complete list of all medications you are taking, as well as a complete medical history. Providing your healthcare provider with this information helps him or her make sure this is the right medication for you.
